Who We Are
USA Club Rugby is an incorporated, independent, member-led organization that governs adult club rugby in the United States. As the national body for senior club competition, USACR oversees all adult, non-collegiate men’s and women’s club competitions, including the National Championship Series (NCS) for both 15s and 7s. USACR operates in cooperation with USA Rugby (USAR) under a formal Community Agreement, through which USACR contracts USA Rugby as a service provider. USA Rugby Coaching Compliance
In order to be a ‘compliant’ coach for contact rugby, each rugby coach (in any capacity where the individual is providing technical or tactical instruction to players, including being called an “Assistant Coach”) must meet the following requirements of the USOPC and USA Rugby:
The coaching pathway is for individuals interested in becoming a Rugby Coach. This pathway highlights all the courses and material related to becoming a certified USA Rugby coach. To see a listing of available courses, visit the USA Rugby Course Calendar, and register via the USA Rugby Learning Center.
See The Coaches Corner for more information:
(Note: USA Rugby also has a requirement that every club playing tackle rugby have, at minimum, one Level 1 Qualified Coach in order to be a ‘compliant’ club. This does not imply that any other coaches at the club do not need the above.)
