Our mission is to create a culture where individuals from all backgrounds feel welcome, valued, and empowered to fully participate in club rugby. We strive to break down barriers, challenge biases, and promote equal opportunities for all participants, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, or ability.
The DE&I Committee comprises passionate individuals who possess a deep understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and their application within the context of rugby. Our committee members are chosen for their commitment to social justice, empathy, and their dedication to driving positive change within the rugby community.
Addressing Inequalities
Our primary role is to develop and implement strategies, policies, and initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within USA Club Rugby. We collaborate with clubs, administrators, players, coaches, referees, and other stakeholders to create an environment that respects and celebrates the unique identities and experiences of all participants.
The DE&I Committee actively works to raise awareness and understanding of issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We provide educational resources, training programs, and workshops to foster a greater understanding of the importance of diversity and to empower individuals to become advocates for change within their own clubs and communities.
Additionally, our committee focuses on identifying and addressing systemic barriers and inequalities within club rugby. We seek to eliminate discrimination, biases, and exclusionary practices that hinder the full participation and advancement of individuals from marginalized communities.
