USA Club Rugby is pleased to announce the election of David Chapman to serve as its representative on the USA Rugby Referee and Laws Committee. In this vital role, Chapman will represent the interests of USA Club Rugby’s Senior Club Council, contributing to the development and interpretation of the laws governing the game at the national level.
The USA Rugby Referee and Laws Committee is responsible for overseeing the application of the laws of rugby within the United States, ensuring consistency, fairness, and safety across all levels of competition. As a representative of the Senior Club Council, Chapman will have the opportunity to bring the perspectives and needs of the senior club community into the committee’s decision-making process.
“We are excited to have David Chapman represent us on the Referee and Laws Committee,” said Al Lucas, Chair of the Senior Club Council. “His dedication and understanding of the game, combined with his leadership experience, make him a perfect fit for this important role. We are confident he will help ensure that the laws and refereeing standards continue to meet the evolving needs of the senior club rugby community.”
Chapman serves as a board member of the Capital Rugby Union, where he also chairs the Men’s Club Competitions Committee. His extensive experience in rugby as a player, coach, and administrator, combined with his commitment to the growth and development of the sport at all levels, will serve both the committee and USA Club Rugby well in this new capacity.
