USA Club Rugby is excited to announce the election of David McPhail as the new 15s Competitions Chair, following a vote by the Senior Club Council. McPhail, who currently serves as the President of the Texas Rugby Union and Chair of the Red River Rugby Competition, will succeed Andrew King in this pivotal role.
McPhail’s deep experience in rugby administration and leadership within Texas and the Red River Rugby Competition makes him an ideal choice to lead the 15s competitions at a national level. His focus will be on advancing competitive opportunities for clubs while continuing the positive work done by his predecessor.
“I am honored to be selected for this role and eager to build on the foundation Andrew King has established,” said McPhail. “I’m looking forward to working closely with clubs and players to enhance the 15s competitions and make them even more engaging and competitive.”
Andrew King has provided valuable leadership during his tenure as 15s Competitions Chair and will work with McPhail to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.
“We are deeply thankful to Andrew King for his dedication and impactful leadership,” said Al Lucas, Chair of the USA Club Rugby Executive Committee. “David McPhail brings a wealth of experience and passion for the sport, and we are confident he will help take USA Club Rugby’s 15s competitions to the next level.”
