USA Rugby’s Competition Committees

The USA Club Rugby Competition Committees serves as the backbone of the governing body for club rugby in the United States. There are two competition committees. One for XVs competitions and one for 7s. Our committees are dedicated to organizing, overseeing, and advancing high-quality rugby competitions that embody the spirit of the sport and promote growth at all levels.

Our Mission

While we have two separate committees, our mission is united.

Our mission is to create a dynamic and inclusive competition framework that provides clubs and players with meaningful opportunities to excel, develop, and showcase their skills. We strive to foster a culture of fair play, sportsmanship, and camaraderie, while driving the growth and popularity of club rugby across the nation.

The Competition Committees consist of passionate individuals who possess a deep understanding of rugby and its intricacies. Our committee’s members are selected for their expertise, knowledge of competition management, and their commitment to enhancing the rugby experience for all participants.

For All Skill Levels & Age Groups

Our primary role is to design, structure, and administer competitive rugby events, leagues, and tournaments that cater to diverse skill levels and age groups. We work closely with clubs, coaches, referees, and administrators to ensure that the competitions are well-organized, balanced, and aligned with the objectives and guidelines set by USA Club Rugby.

In addition to managing the logistical aspects of competitions, the Competition Committees focus on fostering player development, coaching resources, and referee programs. We strive to provide a platform for talent identification and progression, enabling players to reach their full potential and contribute to the growth of club rugby in the United States.

Welfare & Safety

Furthermore, we prioritize player welfare and safety. The committees collaborates with other relevant committees to establish and enforce robust protocols and standards that promote a safe and inclusive environment for all participants. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of player protection and well-being.

The Competition Committees actively seeks feedback and engages with clubs and stakeholders to gather insights, address concerns, and identify areas for improvement. We value open and constructive communication, leveraging the collective knowledge and experiences of the rugby community to enhance the quality and relevance of our competitions.

By organizing and managing high-quality rugby competitions, our committee plays a pivotal role in the development and success of club rugby in the United States. We aim to inspire and engage participants of all ages, nurture talent, and create memorable experiences that foster a lifelong passion for the sport.

The USA Club Rugby Competition Committees are committed to promoting excellence, inclusivity, and growth in club rugby competitions. Through our efforts, we strive to elevate the standards of the game, provide rewarding experiences, and contribute to the overall success and vibrancy of club rugby across the nation.
